No. 2, Récit et Chœur — Camille Saint-Saëns, Oratorio de Noël

Oratorio de Noël is one of my favorite oratorios. I love transforming older classical music in ways that make it feel immediate and accessible to contemporary audiences while remaining true to the essence of the original work.

For this production, I directed the performance, created the artwork, and developed modern instrumentation to expand the sound world of Saint-Saëns’ score. This excerpt represents so much of what I love about making classical music: honoring what is already there while allowing it to live, breathe, and speak to audiences now.
